Record Holders
By Michael Dunbar
Through the years the Eagles have made their
mark on the record books. As a team the boys baseball program is the 19th
winningest program in the state of Illinois. The Odin record book is
full of former Eagles standouts. Some of the more notable records
include Curtis Parrish being the states all time homerun and R.B.I.
leader. From 1999-2003 Parrish connected on 49 homeruns while knocking
in 187 runs. Other state records include Jeff Burton with the most
stolen bases in a season; Billy Kelly – most career games played; Darren
Deadmond – most career hits 277 and most hits in a season 88. Other
school basketball record holders include Kenny Vaughn for most points
with 1941. Vaughn took possession of the all-time scoring record when he
passed Wayne Heinrich in 1981. That record appears to be in reach for
current Eagle Tyler Parrish who is within 100 points of the record going
into his senior season. Terri Owens Lively is the all0time leading
girl’s basketball scorer with 1400 pts. Mallory Love holds a firm grip
on almost all the Odin High School softball records for pitching.
